The Lab Day 1
Glen Rose, TX
Agfa Optima...with tilt shift lovin', ummm Awe-Some.
Day 1 of the Lab Workshop, DONE. Kelsey, Mandy and Brooke graced us with their infectious energy for a little demonstration on working with teenage portrait clientele. Our awesome attendees did well working with them implementing some fun ideas and capture some fun images. Here are my favs I rattled off while running around this amazing tree farm. The former largest Live Oak tree in Texas grew up here...she's quite large!

Sammy
Grapevine
So what do you do when you're totally bummed about a burglary on your birthday? Hang out with Sammy and rock some photographs!!! Obviously she's a fun girl...had me rollin' throughout the shoot and we enjoyed a whole box of Dreyer's Lime Fruit bars (I was in heaven with the fruit bars).
This was one of my more ambitious grad shoots and Sammy just rolled with the punches as I rolled out all my crazy ideas.
I'll be launching a new portrait site in the future...any signature images in this batch?

Ansley
Grapevine, Texas
Ansley...what a rad girl! She rocked this shoot like she owned it...she just let it all out and hanging out on her parents' house boat while jammin' to the Pierces and Sara Barielles was all it took. Gotta give a shout out to BFF Sam for doing such a great job with reflectors and such...and putting Ansley in stitches in a moment's notice.
Jenilee
Fort Worth, Texas
Here's a few more selects from my recent shoot with Jenilee.

Element of surprise: Although his name was technically Bandit, I kept yelling out Brisket since his name didn't stick with me. Totally unannounced, Brisket attempted to crash our photo-shoot with his infectious and endless energy. We utilized him instead.
Fun Fact: Jenilee absolutely hates dogs...the fur, the fleas, the smell, she can't stand 'em.

skylar
I think Skylar and I talked about this shoot for at least a month. Phone calls back and forth as her dancing took her to far flung US cities, namely NYC, possibly calling it home next year. We met for the first time over lunch the day of her senior shoot, talked about her interests...what makes her tick. I don't have to go into all that because I think the photographs speak for themselves. She really trusted me...and I can't stress how important that is to future clients or other photographers. Time to have fun...

Once again, a huge thanks to the Boutwells for enabling me to bring my vision to life in my work using their Totally Rad Actions!
My new ASPIRE. campaign is gearing up for 2008's seniors...my friend Shy modeled for me on Laguna Beach while I was out in SoCal. There is sooooo much more that will be rolling out later this year including a digital catalogue, a new seniors only website and other exciting products [original Fred Egan artwork graphic T's?].
